Sketches Seahorse

こんにちは Next pastel project...Seahorse! This is a sketch of a typical Yellow Seahorse. Unique and cool sea creature...the males is the one that gets pregnant! Hah. My attempt (knock on wood) to compose the drawing on paper that I've just painted on and make a mixed media piece incorporating paper hand embroidery. Tall order for me...but I won't know unless I try it out. Ja matta!

Sewn reverisble bag

Reverisble bag! This side has funny Nihon no characters on the fabric, Love it! Japanese Characters, they bust me up <;0) Plus, since everyone in my new beach town surfs, I thought that this was highly appropriate...although I have yet to see a "Ninja Surfer" Now that would be cool. You can find the tutorial here, by very purple person: Making reversible bag Japanese Fabric purchased at Hart's Fabric, "Japanese Pop Art Children Fabric Ocean". Perfect for stashing your yarn projects around.

Dog Surfer Amigurumi

I haven't posted to my site for a while now. Finally got around to a new ami. Decided to do a "surfer-type" dog with a long board. We live a new area where surfers are the majority. Unfortunately, I don't surf or really swim >;0(. Sorry! I don't have a pattern for this... If I get enough request, then I probably will get crack'n and write it down (with photos of course) <;0)

Check out my new Blog site

Pastel, A New Personal Journey

I'm trying to work a new set of drawings/paintings with pastels.
So most likely I won't be posting to this site so much...it's not like people see it anyways, so I know it won't be missed.
These days, crafting is such a huge industry, that unless you've offer some kind of tutorial or free downloads or like a Michael's Craft Store discount codes, people won't visit. I cannot offer those kind of services.
That being said, I will follow my new directions into pastel drawings, where it's will be an online portfolio and thoughts of me working through this new medium, rather then..."hey, thanks for visiting this blog, let me offer you this..." sort of thing. There are already tons of people offering services like that and are doing an awesome job of it.

Yo, later

Nuigurumi-Toy from an old work T shirt

Hey the t shirt from my past job wasn't cute...ok. So take a pair of scissors and cut away...
get the sewing machine to work, stuff it and ta-da a stuff toy bear!
The craft is actually called "Nuigurumi"- where you sew your toys. A nice break from my crochet "amigurumi".
